ESMS: For election officials to manage various tasks.

These apps alone have been downloaded over 5.5 crore (55 million) times! Imagine having all that power in one place. 💪

Who will benefit?

ECINET is expected to be a game-changer for:

Nearly 100 crore (1 billion) registered voters. 🇮🇳
Over 10.5 lakh (1.05 million) Booth Level Officers (BLOs).
Around 15 lakh (1.5 million) Booth Level Agents (BLAs) from political parties.
Approximately 45 lakh (4.5 million) polling officials.
Thousands of Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and District Election Officers (DEOs).

Ensuring Accuracy and Security:

To make sure the information on ECINET is correct, only authorized Election Commission officials will be able to enter data. However, in case of any discrepancies, the official records in the statutory forms will be considered the primary source. The platform is also being built with strong cybersecurity measures to keep everyone's data safe. 🔒

The idea for ECINET came from Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar during a recent meeting with top election officials from all states and union territories. The development process has involved extensive discussions and a review of thousands of pages of election rules and guidelines.
